Visit to Weir Farm National Historic Park, Saturday, October 2, 9 am
Weir Farm is one of National Parks located in Connecticut and just a few minutes away in Wilton, CT. Weir Farms was the home and studio of America's most beloved impressionist, J. Alden Weir (1852-1919). Set amidst more than 60 acres of painterly woods, fields and waterways, Weir described his home as the "Great Good Place."
Our outdoor Legacy of a Landscape introductory tour will include a peek-in tour of the Weir House living room and the Weir and Young Studios. We will then explore the grounds, historic gardens, and pond trail, or they will have watercolor painting supplies available for us to dabble in art!
We'll be done around 11:30.
Free but limited to 12.
