About the event

Join us for a day of family fun at Weir Farm National Historical Park, a place that has been inspiring artists since 1882 when America’s most beloved Impressionist, Julian Alden Weir, made this his summer home. Today, artists and visitors of all ages come to the park to enjoy the stunning landscape, walk in the footsteps of American masters, and create art! Set amidst more than 60 acres of painterly woods, fields, and waterways, we'll see why Weir described his home as the "Great Good Place."

As one of over 400 national parks, Weir Farm offers the opportunity to become a Junior Park Ranger! Participate in one or more of the 4 Weir Farm Junior Ranger activities - Weir Pond Wonders, Art Bear Scavenger Hunt, Letterboxing, or Explore! and earn your Junior Ranger Badge. After participating in the Junior Ranger program, you are encouraged to stay and experience more of what Weir Farm has to offer - you could bring a picnic, hike to Weir Pond, visit the wildly artistic Weir House and Studios, stroll through historic gardens, chat with the Park Rangers in the newly renovated visitor center,  or create art in the park with the park's free-to-use watercolor painting supplies!
