​Heather Raker joined the Mather Homestead Foundation upon its inception in 2017 as a founding board member and became Executive Director in 2020. With degrees from Yale University (B.A., American Studies) and Northwestern (M.B.A., Kellogg), and work experience in finance, management consulting, marketing and many local nonprofits, she has overseen the Homestead as it has developed into a vibrant museum with programming for all ages designed to bring history to life.

Samantha Gault

​Samantha joined the Mather Homestead Foundation in 2020 as leader of the Homestead's Literary Series and became Executive Director in 2025. Samantha studied English, history, and French at Dartmouth College (B.A.) and Middlebury's Bread Loaf School of English (M.A), and she has held teaching and leadership roles at Greenwich Academy, The Dalton School, and New Canaan Country School. For Samantha's children, William (13) and Georgia (10), the Mather Homestead is a home away from home!
