Probably American; late 18th century. 9 ¾” h. x 10 ¾” w.
A beguiling work in greens, reds, yellows against a crème ground, of a squirrel in a tree, surrounded by cherries and acorns. Framed in a black-painted maple frame. Condition is good with only light discoloration of linen ground.
